Dave Lundy

David Lundy (Managing Director)

The man with the pointy stick, as owner and Managing Director of Pro-tect, Dave is passionate about the products we produce and the service we deliver to our clients, saying; 'it is said that no man is an island and that is certainly true of Pro-tect, our business has flourished from the enthusiasm and dedication of its staff making Pro-tect a leading supplier and manufacturer of safety equipment which has all been done without the use of a pointy stick'. Dave remembers the first contract secured was for the supply of Police Signs to the Royal Ulster Constabulary which gave the company a real boost and helped set the picture for the years ahead and the continued support we enjoy from our clients. When not at work Dave likes to spend time with his family, playing with typical boys toys; motorbikes, boats & cars.

Andy Roberts

Andy Roberts (General Manager)

Andy has been with Pro-tect for the last 8 years having spent the previous 30 years in Sales and Customer Services. Andy deals with our key customers and major accounts as well as managing our contract with the Highways England Traffic Officer service. Andy also, oversees the day-to-day running of the Sales Office and the factory. When not at work, Andy enjoys a few beers with his friends, watching sport - mostly football (coys!) & Golf. He also enjoys pottering in his Garden, decorating,  listening to music, days out on his Motorbike and most importantly, holidays in the sun!


David John  (Production Manager)

Frighteningly it’s been over 40 years since starting in the sign trade. David's first appointment was with a small family business based in Weston-super-Mare. This is where he learnt his trade as a sign maker, he would work hour upon hour cutting and riveting steel, laminating, applying vinyl before seeing the finished product ready to send to the client. Now things are a little less difficult and certainly more enjoyable, the old 1970s equipment along with materials of the same era have been replaced by the new digital age. Investment in new welding and cutting machines has helped him introduce lean manufacturing and now he has time to get involved in the things he loves best, product design and development, sourcing new materials and being part of the Pro-tect team. (Yes! one of the team is his little girl Laurie)


Laurie John (Sales & Despatch Co-ordinator)

The continual smiler always happy, always busy, always willing to get the job done! Laurie loves working at Pro-tect as each day brings a new challenge, one of her responsibilities involves liaising with the Production manager David John (Yes Daddy John) ensuring everything is in the right place at the right time this ensures we deliver what we promise on time every time. Away from work she loves to socialise with friends, listening to music and upholstery. 

Harry Walker

Harry Walker (Graphic Designer)

Harry has enjoyed working at Pro-tect for over 10 years and has seen extensive investment and development as the company has diversified and grown. Harry works within a state-of-the-art Graphics Department boasting an Inca UV flat bed printer and 5 wide format printers. As a Winchester School of Art graduate Harry now draws on his art & design training, happy to be challenged with a passion to create adventurous design ideas, designing and proofing artwork while working with customers to fulfil their requirements. Harry enjoys developing his own work in printmaking, demonstrating a fine eye for detail. Recently Harry has started jogging, will he keep it up?

Mike Flack (Sales)

Mike has been with the company for 5 years now and his roles include sales enquiries and quotations. Mike says "I enjoy working with the team we have, there's some great people here and the company has grown a lot since I first started". Mike enjoys playing Skittles for a local team, gardening, walking and spending quality time with the family, especially the Grandchildren.

Siân Williams (Sales & Development)

Siân joined Pro-tect in the early summer of 2015 as part of the sales and customer services team and has developed in a short space of time a good knowledge of our products and our customer’s needs. She has now taken up the role of Business Development and is actively visiting our wide and varied customer base in person. She says she loves her position and enjoys what she likes to call ‘Working Holidays’!! To you and me, that’s travelling the motorways and roads visiting clients and meeting lots of different people as part of her day. Siân’s ‘Bubbly’ Character and enthusiasm is contagious, Siân will cover the country like a rainbow bringing colour and happiness to everyone she meets. In her spare time she enjoys the usual things in life, family, friends, fun & the odd cider (or two!!) in the sun.


Sarah Fox (Sales)

Sarah joined the team in November 2016.  Prior to joining protect she spent 10 years managing the evidential property store for Avon & Somerset police. Her role as sales administrator involves liaising with customers, processing orders, providing quotations and completing the day to day tasks within the busy office. Outside of work Sarah is currently studying for her AAT level 3 qualification in accountancy.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her young family, socialising with friends , gardening and DIY.

Sue Matthews (Procurement & Finance)

Sue joined Pro-tect in 2006. Over that time she has seen many exciting changes as the company has grown and developed. Sue started in Sales but now focuses her time on Procurement and Finance. During her spare time she is a frequent visitor to The Etihad Stadium having been a life long Man City Fan although she stills misses standing on The Kippax at Maine Road.
